With 18 years in the beauty industry, and a local gal born and raised in the Eastern suburbs, Kirstie 'Kir' is the founder and driving force behind TURU.

Her path into beauty wasn't exactly planned. After studying event management, Kirstie realized it wasn't for her. A visit to beauty school as a model for Sarah's assessment sparked thought, "i could give this a go". And from there she found the career that would lead her to create TURU.

Kirstie is best known for her customized lash lifts and flawless spray tans. A self-confessed perfectionist, she loves the detail that goes into tailoring every lash lift to suit clients eye shape and natural lashes, while creating results that look beautiful and are easy to maintain beyond the salon.

Her treatment style is calm, considered and educational. Kirstie wants every client to feel safe, cared for and confident they understand their treatment, aftercare and maintenance. Connection is a huge part of her approach, with many clients having trusted her for more than 15 years, meaning appointments often feel more like a catch up with an old friend.

Kirstie also brings a holistic approach to skin, hair and nail health, looking beyond what's happening on the surface and considering the bigger picture when helping clients work towards their goals.

Outside of TURU, Kirstie is happiest creating memories with her husband, children and family. She loves holidays, shopping, cooking wholesome food, learning about health and parenting, and listening to footy podcasts, usually somewhere in between trips to watch St Kilda play.

Mary-rose 'Mez' began her beauty career straight out of high school at 18 and has now been part of the TURU team for nearly 9 years, practically growing up inside the salon, as she was a client when TURU first opened also.

Having a hairdresser mum, Mary was always surrounded by the beauty industry and was naturally that friend getting everyone ready before parties doing their nails and brows. Turning that into a career felt like the obvious choice.

Known as TURU's skin girl, Mary is especially passionate about helping clients navigate hormonal teenage breakouts. She loves supporting young women through those frustrating skin stages with realistic advice and a considered treatment plan with absolutely no judgment. Mary even studied nutrition to help understand every aspect of skin. She is also just as happy taming a set of full, thick brows, and creating the perfect brow lamination or delivering a beautifully dark spray tan.

Mary's treatment style is casual, warm and completely client led. You can switch off and enjoy some quiet time or have a chat about whatever is happening in your world. Most importantly, she wants every client to feel heard and to be comfortable opening up about their skin and treatment goals, and to feel genuinely happy when they leave.

Outside TURU, Mary is usually reading, trying a new restaurant, online shopping or spending time at home with her cat, Ariel. She is a matcha/chai girly (never a coffee girl), she shows love through cooking and baking for others, and can belt out a tune after spending more than 10 years belonging to a singing academy.

With 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Sarah 'Sar' brings a wealth of knowledge, intuition and genuine care to every appointment.

Originally drawn to health and wellness through her studies in health science, Sarah's love of anatomy, physiology and working closely with people naturally led her into beauty therapy, and she has not looked back!

Sarah is especially passionate about brows and skin, weather that's creating an instant brow transformation or helping clients support their skin holistically. Her treatment style is warm, detailed and completely personalized. She has the natural ability to read the room and gage weather you're ready for a good chat, need some quiet time to switch off or want some honest advice.

Her goal is simple, for you to leave your appointment feeling happy, relaxed and a little lighter then when you came in.

Outside of TURU, Sarah is happiest spending time with her husband and three children. In summer, you'll usually find them at the beach, while winter means embracing full soccer-mum life from the sidelines. And somewhere in the chaos, there is always time for coffee catch ups with her besties.

With 19 years in the beauty industry, Abbey 'Abs' brings experience, attention to detail and a naturally calming presence to every treatment.

After completing her diploma straight out of year 12, Abbey knew she'd found the right career. She loves treatments with a satisfying before and after, especially brows, and takes the time to understand exactly what has brought each client in and what they're hoping to achieve.

Abbey is especially known for her relaxing facials, and incredible manicures and pedicures. Abbey has an amazing steady hand an incredible knack for a French tip. Her approach is results focused, but always guided by the person in front of her. Your appointment might turn into a full chat and unofficial therapy session, or she might tuck you under a blanket and let you completely switch off while your tint color develops. Abbey is brilliant at reading which version you need.

Her goal is for every client to leave feeling happy with their results, completely comfortable and noticeably calm.

Outside of TURU, Abbey loves anything crafty or creative and is no stranger to a DIY project whenever time allows in between mum life of her 2 children. Weekends consist of yummy homecooked meals and spending time with family.
